Absinthe Yeah ok, it's June 23rd, if you haven't noticed I am taking a break. Quit the tears. Odds are that I'll pick up again sometime. Till then.....STAY SCARED!!!

HALLOWEEN POSTER!!!

A couple weeks ago blockbuster director Michael Bay pleaded to his fans to send a message to Paramount/Dreamworks to release Transformers one day earlier.
Well the fans spoke up, and the studio listened. Transformers will now open on July 3rd, one day before the original July 4th release date.

On his blog, actor Doug Jones gives some updates from the set of the Hellboy sequel:
"I am very excited to be reprising one of my favorite characters, Abe Sapien the blue fishman. Along with him, I am also tackling a couple of other heavily made-up characters: The Chamberlain, a doorkeeper for the King of the alternate world, and The Angel Of Death, kind of self explanatory, but not to be feared, as she (yes, she) is SUCH a cool moment in the film that will leave you wondering when you might see her again in films to come."

Of course, by stroke of coincidence we learned just before we sat down with Miller that Robert Rodriguez had been signed onto a remake of the classic sixties sex flick "Barbarella." So what of "Sin City 2"? Rumours swirl that the project has been stalled by the breakdown of Rodriguez' marriage. "Sin City 2 is still likely to happen," says Miller, "just not right away. The script is written and Robert and I are raring to go, but it looks like I'm going to be doing The Spirit first and Robert's going to be doing Barbarella first."

The synopsis for The Incredible Hulk due out June 18th 2008:
We find scientist Bruce Banner(Ed Norton) living in shadows, scouring the planet for an antidote. But the warmongers who dream of abusing his powers won't leave him alone, nor will his need to be with the only woman he has ever loved, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler).
Upon returning to civilization, our brilliant doctor is ruthlessly pursued by The Abomination (Tim Roth) -- a nightmarish beast of pure adrenaline and aggression whose powers match The Hulk's own. A fight of comic-book proportions ensues as Banner must call upon the hero within to rescue New York City from total destruction. And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice -- accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or the creature he could permanently become: The Incredible Hulk.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US - 5 YEARS ONLINE AND STILL KICKING ASS!!!

Cillian Murphy won't be reprising his role as Scarecrow in the next "Batman" movie ("I can't count on that at the moment, I'm afraid," he reported)

"The Incredible Hulk" will be matched against the oversized adversary Abomination, and Tim Roth will play the villain's alter ego, Emil Blonsky.
Roth joins Edward Norton and Liv Tyler in the Louis Leterrier-directed drama, which is being financed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures on June 13, 2008.
While Roth's deal is still being negotiated, he becomes the latest piece in a reinvention of a franchise, following the self-serious Ang Lee-directed "Hulk."
Blonsky is a KGB agent who deliberately exposes himself to the gamma rays that caused Bruce Banner to morph into the Hulk. Blonsky has upped the dosage, making him larger and stronger than the Hulk, but unable to change back to human form. He blames Banner for his problem, and makes his best efforts to destroy the Hulk.

Our regular scooper tells FreezeDriedMovies that plans are underway for Spider-Man 4, which were (obviously) set up in the third film. In the third entry, Dr. Curt Connors (played by Dylan Baker) looks at a piece of symbiote with Peter Parker. The movie then travels along it's path without another mention of that "piece" of symbiote. This is the set up for Spider-Man 4 where that small piece of alien symbiote becomes CARNAGE. Yes Cletus Cassidy is coming to the big screen, one of Spider-Man most horrifying and evil villains. Not only with Parker have to deal with the red lean mean killing machine, but Connors is set to become the long awaited LIZARD! these two villains have all been CONFIRMED for Spider-Man 4. There is talk of the Black Cat making her first appearance, but that's all but official.

Screenwriter Zak Penn on the villain for the new Hulk movie:
"On The Hulk, one of the big discussions has been -- God, I hope I don't get in trouble for this -- the villain is going to be this character from the comics, the Abomination, who will not be called the Abomination out loud in the film because it's a silly, silly name," laughs Penn, who wrote the film. "It just is; it's so hard to work in. 'Hey, what should we call that guy?' 'He's an abomination!'"
"It's definitely not all CGI," he says of the character. "Marvel will release casting when it happens. I don't even actually know right now. I'm sure it will come out soon."

IRONMAN.....need I say more?

From director Joe Carnahan's blog:
"Robert Rodriguez stopped by the office yesterday and showed me what may become the teaser for 'Sin City 2' and HOLY S*** is it something. I don't want to let any cats out of any bags, so all I can say is there's not a hetero male moviegoer alive that's not going to deeply DIG that spot. Remember, he's doing 'A Dame To Kill For' and brother has he got it. That guy's enthusiasm for filmmaking is infectious too. A solid bloke and a good soul."

Eric Roberts says: "I'm a Mafioso in 'The Dark Night' and I haven’t seen the script; all I’ve seen is the pages they sent me to audition. It’s all very hush hush," says actor Eric Robers, who recently signed on to the Batman sequel. "We're going to be shooting in Chicago and London. I love Christian Bale what an actor. I have interactions with both Heath Ledger and Christian Bale and I am a bad guy."

Finally the first ever Zombie live album is on it's way this August. Recorded over several nights during the Educated Horses tour. The CD will include a 36 pages super deluxe book of never-before-seen live pics and also a DVD of live footage and animated videos.

Edward Norton has been set by Marvel Studios to play Bruce Banner in "The Incredible Hulk."
The Louis Leterrier-directed drama will be distributed by Universal Pictures, with an opening set for June 13, 2008.
It is a decided return to the mainstream for Norton, who recently has starred in such indies as "Down in the Valley," "The Painted Veil," and "The Illusionist." Pic will shoot this summer in Toronto.

Batman Begins writer David Goyer told SCI FI Wire that Harvey Dent will appear in the sequel The Dark Knight—but not necessarily his villainous alter ego, Two-Face, as has been reported. "I think Harvey Dent has been mentioned," Goyer said in an interview while promoting his upcoming film The Invisible. "I don't know that Two-Face has been mentioned."
Though plot details are top-secret, The Dark Knight will reportedly feature the Joker (Heath Ledger) and Dent (Aaron Eckhart) as the nemeses of Batman (Christian Bale). "All I can say is some people raised their eyebrows when they heard there were going to be two villains in the first film [Batman Begins], but I think that one worked out just fine," he said.

In the new issue of Rolling Stone Magazine and on their website they have given Manson's forthcoming LP, EAT ME, DRINK ME a June 5th release date along with this small passage about the album:
Manson spent most of 2006 exorcising personal demons, but Halloween night proved a turning point. The next morning, Manson began writing his most honest work ever. "I've never been willing to write about myself in this way," he says, "because I didn't want to deal with the reaction from people around me." Referencing Lolita (the first single, "Heart-Shaped Glasses") and Bonnie and Clyde, and featuring car crashes around every bend, EAT ME, DRINK ME is a mirror reflection of Manson's inner turmoil.
